Eyebrow Transplant
Eyebrow Transplant
Eyebrow transplantation is a surgical procedure performed to restore sparse, thinning, or completely lost eyebrows. This procedure is commonly chosen to achieve a natural appearance of the eyebrows and enhance facial aesthetics.
Eyebrow transplantation is typically carried out through two main methods:
-
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE): In this method, hair follicles from the patient's own scalp (usually from the back of the head) are extracted and transplanted into the eyebrow area. FUE is a minimally invasive technique, often providing a quick recovery process.
-
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT): In this method, a strip of hair-bearing skin is taken from the scalp, and individual hair follicles are separated from this strip. Subsequently, the extracted follicles are transplanted into the eyebrow area. The FUT method can be more invasive and may require stitches, resulting in a slightly longer recovery period.
Eyebrow transplantation aims to give eyebrows a natural appearance and is commonly chosen for aesthetic purposes by both women and men. This procedure is typically performed by a specialized hair surgeon or a plastic surgeon. Following the procedure, the transplanted eyebrows gradually grow and adapt to the patient's natural eyebrow structure.
